3X3 PRIDE BASKETBALL

SPECTRES SOCIAL 3X3 PRIDE BASKETBALL is Melbourne’s LGBTQIA+ and Allies community-run monthly basketball competition. It’s designed to be fun, and inclusive. Open to players of all skill levels and genders.
 

How it works

• Format: 3X3 basketball

• Teams: Sign up as an individual and you’ll be placed into a team on the night.

  • If there are any issues with this please reach out to us and we can see how we can accommodate​

• Games: Expect lots of short, fast-paced games throughout the day.

• Schedule: Monthly on a Saturday from 10:00 AM, running for 4 hours.

  • The schedule of games will be emailed along with further details prior to the tournament​

• Commitment: No ongoing commitment - play only when you want. Bookings open up to 7 days in advance.

• Location: Whitten Oval, 417 Barkly Street, West Footscray (Victoria University Community Sports Stadium) (close to West Footscray train station).

Competition Style

The focus is on community and fun rather than ladders or trophies. There will be a winning team/teams each week but this wont be recorded. Each week, players vote for the ICON Award from outside their team, celebrating a player's energy, spirit, and fair play.

Fees 
 

• $15 per session for members

• $25 per session for non-members

• Each team will consist of 4 players rotating throughout the session.

All skill levels are welcome - from beginners to experienced players.
All genders are welcome, with mixed rules in effect.​
